Hundreds of ducks held up traffic to cross a road in rural Thailand.

Footage shows the flock of fowl waddling across the road toward a field as drivers waited for them to pass in Nakhon Ratchasima province on November 26.

They were assisted by a man waving a red flag to warn oncoming cars of the wildlife crossing.

In Thailand, British breed Khaki Campbell ducks are set loose in rice paddies to clean it up before planting season in a long-standing tradition called ‘ped lai thoong.'

Farmers have found that ducks are excellent pest control animals as they eat various insects, including snails and grubs, that damage crops.

However, they can cause traffic problems when they move between fields.
