Firefighters navigated a narrow wall gap to save a trapped 90-year-old in central China.

The video was filmed in the city of Puyang in Henan Province on November 18.

An elderly individual was trapped in a wall crevice and unable to free themselves. The Qingfeng County Fire and Rescue Brigade, stationed at the Zhengtong Avenue Fire Station, swiftly responded to the scene for assistance.

Upon arrival, firefighters encountered a challenging scenario – a narrow passage approximately 30 centimetres wide between two houses. The elderly person was lying on their side about 5 metres from the entrance, with family members attempting to drag them out.

Recognising the prolonged entrapment and limited manoeuvrability, firefighters advised the family to step back to prevent injuries. Subsequently, two firefighters entered the passage, slowly moving toward the trapped individual.

To facilitate the rescue, three firefighters ascended to the roof of one of the adjacent houses, lowering a safety rope from above. One firefighter was carefully suspended down to the elderly person. Inside the passage, the two firefighters secured a safety rope around the elderly person. With coordinated efforts inside and outside the passage, and after 15 minutes of hard work, the elderly person was successfully rescued and handed over to on-site medical personnel.

Following inquiries with the family, it was revealed that the elderly person, aged 90, had mistakenly entered the passage after walking from the bathroom in the morning. After falling and being unable to self-extricate, family members, unable to locate the elderly person for an extended period, sought help by dialling the emergency number.

Post-rescue medical confirmation affirmed that the elderly person suffered no significant injuries.

11月18日8时许，河南濮阳市消防救援支队接到群众求助，位于清丰县大流乡大岳庄村一老人被卡墙缝，无法脱困。清丰县消防救援大队政通大道消防站赶赴现场救助。
消防员到达现场后发现，现场为两幢民房中间约30厘米宽的夹道，被困老人侧躺在距离夹道口约5米处，其家人正在夹道中尝试将老人拖拽出来。由于被卡时间较长且行动受限，为避免老人受伤，消防员劝解被困老人家属从夹道中撤出。随后，两名消防员从入口先后进入夹道，缓慢移动到被困老人位置后，为后续协力救援制造条件，三名消防员攀登至夹道一侧民房楼顶，从上方放入安全绳，将夹道内1名消防员吊放至被困老人前方。夹道内的2名消防员前后合力将一条安全绳拴至老人身上，经过15分钟的努力，在夹道内外消防员的共同协作下，被困老人被慢慢救出夹道，并交由现场医护人员。经医护人员确认，老人并无大碍。
救援结束后，经询问被困老人家属得知，该老人已经90岁高龄，当天早上从卫生间步行误入夹道中，在夹道中摔倒后无法自行脱困。家属因长时间没有见到老人出来，便寻找至此，尝试施救无法将老人救出后，拨打119救援电话求助。
