STORYLINE:

A batch of watches produced by China's Nanning Watch Factory over three decades ago has triggered a round of shopping spree among Chinese consumers.

The mechanical watches belong to a classic brand, Guihua, which was known for its delicate design and high quality.

Production of the watches was halted in the 1990s and the watches had been stored in the factory warehouse before they were put on sale.
