A quick-thinking receptionist narrowly escaped death as an out-of-control BMW crashed into a restaurant in southern China.

Dramatic CCTV footage filmed in the city of Hengyang in Hunan Province on November 26, shows a BMW SUV careening uncontrollably into the lobby of a seafood restaurant.

The vehicle smashed through the front desk, shattering it completely. A receptionist narrowly escaped injury in the nick of time.

The staff of the restaurant reported that the BMW seemed to lose control before it crashed into the establishment, causing significant damage.

Miraculously, there were no injuries reported.

The investigation into the exact cause of the accident is currently underway by the police. The extent of the losses remained unclear. However, the insurance company of the BMW will be handling the compensation for the damages.

By the afternoon of the same day, the seafood restaurant had impressively resumed its normal operations.
