This is the bizarre moment four wild turkeys closely followed a postman across a busy road just a few days before Thanksgiving.

Eric Setunsky was driving through Marinette, Wisconsin, USA, on November 20 when he spotted his friend Todd Wiegmann on shift for the US Postal Service.

Hilarious footage – which has been viewed more than 140,000 times – shows the USPS worker being shadowed by some unusual friends as a group of wild birds kept close to his pocket.

Turning to see Eric, Todd was clearly confused by why the turkeys were following him as they circled him when he stopped near his van.

Eric said: “I thought it was so funny not only because Thanksgiving was so close but because they were so eager to follow him.

“They followed him right across the busy main road of town.

“When I asked Todd later on he told me the turkeys were following him for a while and he was dodging in and out of different businesses doors to try to lose them.

“Marinette is a small town where we are all familiar with each other and the local wildlife.”
