A Catholic nun looked delighted as she rode an extreme free-fall theme park attraction.

Sister Marissa comfortably sat in one of the drop tower's chairs while an attendant secured her seatbelt at the amusement park in Laguna, the Philippines, on November 20.

Footage shows the platform ascending to the top and swiftly dropping - drawing a wide, euphoric smile on the woman's face.

The crowd erupted in applause for the thrilled nun after the exhilarating ride, who was smiling from ear to ear.

Christopher De Guzman, a spectator who captured the video, said: 'She was the darling of the crowd, and it was her first time riding such a thing. I was amazed since it was one of the extreme rides there, and she managed to finish with a beaming smile.'
