This footage was filmed and produced 14 November 2023.

Horses in Corrientes and Santa Fe were detected with alphavirus - equine encephalomyelitis - a condition that affects equines with nervous symptoms and mortality. The Servicio Nacional de Sanidad y Calidad Agroalimentaria (Senasa) confirmed the positive results and continues to investigate the origin of the disease outbreak.

The samples were processed by the National Institute of Agricultural Technology (INTA) Castelar and the Vanella Institute of the National University of Cordoba, in horses from the Departments of Lavalle, Corrientes; and San Cristobal, Santa Fe. The positive results at the moment indicate the presence of encephalomyelitis and diagnostic steps are being continued to determine the type of virus (East, West or Venezuela), clarified the sanitary organism in its web page.
