A woman who hit the headlines after ‘marrying’ a rag doll has hosted a gender reveal party for their second rag doll child.

Meirivone Rocha Moraes has gone viral many times over the past few years, after sharing her whirlwind romance with the inanimate object –which her mum made for her.

The 37-year-old is now thrilled to announce she and her ‘husband’ Marcelo are expecting their second baby.

Taking to TikTok, she revealed the happy news in a clip that has over 279,200 views. In the video, the couple, who already have a son named Marcelinho, hold a smoke bomb that turns pink to reveal the budding baby is a girl – to be named Marcela.

“I wanted it to be a boy because I’ve heard having a girl is very expensive and much more work,” Meirivone told NeedToKnow.co.uk.

“But the baby will still be welcomed and very loved by me and her dad.

“Marcelo is very, very happy because he wanted a girl.

“He already has Marcelinho, who is our boy, so now a girl has made him very satisfied.”

The couple hosted the gender reveal in their home, surrounded by family and friends.

Meirivone added: “The party was good.

“There was chicken, pasta, salad and cake.

“We even had personalised sweets with our initials, music, soft drinks, and lots of guests, the event was attended by around 40 people.

“And the moment of revelation was really cool, the baby’s name will be Marcela.”

In the clip shared on social media, Meirivone and Marcelo can be seen standing in front of a pink and blue balloon display as she holds up a smoke grenade.

The smoke comes out clear before flashing a beautiful shade of pink.

Meirivone then screams with joy and jumps up and down.

The camera then shows her family and friends clapping and celebrating.

The couple’s rag doll son can also be seen sitting on one of the guests' laps as he watches on.

The video has gathered 12,100 likes so far, as well as over 700 comments from baffled users.
