A pair of holidaymakers have bought walkie-talkies to avoid a pricey phone bill whilst abroad in Benidorm.
Graham, 38, regularly flocks to the tourist hotspot with his best mate, Darren, 48, as they find it cheaper than a night out in the UK.
The duo returned to the popular Spanish resort last week after last visiting in June.
However, the pair were left furious after receiving the phone bill from their last trip.
Graham and Darren, from Middlesbrough, said they both raked up a £160 phone bill whilst in Benidorm using EE’s network.
In a bid to save money on their current trip, they purchased a pair of walkie-talkies.
They spent £6 on the old-school communication devices.
The duo could talk on them as long as they stayed within two miles of each other.
They tested the walkie-talkies in Benidorm’s Old Town after Graham lost track of Darren.
Using military lingo, the pair got in touch using their devices.
Thankfully, Darren responded to the message and let Graham know he was in a bar down the road.
During their hilarious exchange, Graham says: “Are you there big dog? Are you there big dog?
“Big dog are you there?”
Darren replies: “Yeah, yeah I’m here.”
Graham adds: “Where are you? Roger that.”
Darren responds: “Harry’s Bar.”
Graham asks: “Harry’s Bar was that?
“I’m on my way, five minutes.”
Darren asks: “Where are you?”
Graham replies: “Just up in the Old Town.”
Holidaymakers were left in stitches at the pair’s attempt to save money.
Sarah said: “Best idea ever.”
Darren Roche said: “Genius.”
”Love this absolutely brilliant tool to have especially if you've got kids,” joked Craig Petrie.
