An urban explorer discovered a huge castle-like mansion, complete with a grand ballroom, pool and library fit for any bookworm.

Dave, known as Freaktography, stumbled across the find, which he claims is currently valued at £2.5m ($4.2m CAD).

Built in the early 1970s it contains five bedrooms, five bathrooms, a wet bar, a home theatre and stunning wooden details throughout the property.

Sharing his find on YouTube with his 87,500 followers, he gathered over 33,000 views from curious viewers.

“This wasn’t just any abandoned mansion, it was a full-blown castle mansion that had been left to the elements for years,” Dave, from Ontario, Canada, told http://NeedToKnow.co.uk.

“The strange thing about this mansion was the notice on the front door, dated July 2023.

“The last calendar on the wall was dated 2021.

“Inside, it would seem that the tenants had to leave in a big hurry, leaving many many items of value left behind including furniture, designer clothes, photo albums, kids' toys and more.

“This unbelievably abandoned multi-million dollar castle mansion is another crazy example of just how many amazing abandoned places there are out here, just under our noses, that haven’t been found yet!”

Located in central Ontario, down a hidden forest road, Dave believes the property was last purchased in 2007 for nearly £1.2m ($2m CAD).

The exterior of the unique find contains turrets and medieval-like elements.

Travelling inside, a large round table, decorated in detailed wooden carvings, sat in the middle of a room, surrounded by more than 10 ornate chairs.

A lavish wine cellar contained over 120 bottles of wine and spirits, with the room capable of holding three times that amount.

The bedrooms all boasted four-posted beds, many with sofas and luxurious chaise longues.

Panning around the library, Dave showed the room had been pilfered, with books strewn over any rooms in the house.

Also found in the property were two unopened safes, containing a mystery that no one could crack.

Sharing his find on YouTube, he gained over 160 comments from people awestruck by the find.

Lynsey commented: “This was once someone’s dream home obviously where they raised their kids. I love how much thought and detail went into the wood trim, panels and the windows.”

Andrea added: “This mansion is absolutely stunning. Wow, what a wonderful property, with so many incredible things left behind. Such a gorgeous place really makes you want to clean up and make yourself at home. Thank you for this wonderful exploration in this fascinating place.”

“Unreal what a fab home! I'd clean it and move in! What a shame to see how it's been tossed. What happened to the owners? A great explore guys, thanks & Lol,” said Carol.” [sic]

Jonathan wrote: “I find it incredible a place like that is left abandoned!”

“Unbelievable. I’ve seen many videos from England, Europe, and some in the USA . This takes the cake of the inside. No type of word to describe it,” commented Ricardo. [sic]

Only a few days after visiting, Dave claims the house was raided, with much of the interior emptied.
