A woman has gone viral after sharing the strange items that survived a house fire – including stick-on fingernails and Yeezy trainers.

When Aaliyah C woke up in the middle of the night and smelled smoke coming from downstairs, she thought her life was “over”.

The 25-year-old scoured her home to find the source and was left feeling “nauseated” as she spotted her table on fire.

She swiftly evacuated, along with her grandma and their two dogs, and watched as their abode went up in flames.

Now, while dealing with their new reality, the content creator has tried to find the humorous side and has taken to TikTok to share the items that survived the blaze, racking up three million views and 305,000 likes.

“I had some stick-on fingernails that were completely intact, sitting in the rubble,” Aaliyah told http://NeedToKnow.co.uk.

“The package was a little ashy, but other than that, they looked like you could glue them right on.

“There were also a pair of Yeezy sneakers that were just outside where the carpet was burned, as well as lotion spray and a bag, [which were fine].

“The cause of the fire was a candle that I had sworn I blew out prior to going to bed.

“I instantly knew it was too bad to put out myself, and I tried to fight it for a while, but my eyes were burning and I couldn't see after a couple of minutes.

“It was so stressful and it was an overwhelming feeling of: ‘Is my life over now?’”

In the clip, she pulls out a package of stick-on nails, which is covered in white rubble and dust.

She says: “Also if you’re looking for fireproof products these kiss press-on nails, she made it she’s a survivor too.” [sic]

Users have flocked to the comments to share their reactions, with many viewers offering words of support.

“I hope your good foool and have somewhere to stay,” one person said. [sic]

Another user added: “As someone who has experienced a house fire, I can smell this video.”

“I thought u were dumpster diving at first and was mortified for your hands. Sorry about the fire,” someone else commented. [sic]

Maddie said: “I know we all tend to joke to get us through the pain but girl if you need to take time to heal pls do.” [sic]

“This should be used in their advertising. On Fire On Fleek,” another user added. [sic]

Aaliyah, from Wisconsin, US, added: “I was almost in disbelief that it happened and I had to go back to make sure it was real.

“This is going to be so hard to bounce back from.

“From water damage and smoke, everything was pretty much done for.

“I wasn’t so much upset over my material belongings, so much as I was upset about how stressful it would be to put life back together again – I’m still trying.”
