The Suez Canal recorded the revenues of a recorded 854.7 million U.S. dollars in November, up 20.3 percent year on year, according to Suez Canal Authority (SCA) chairman Osama Rabie.
The Chairman of the Authority explained that the navigation movement in the canal in November recorded the crossing of 2,264 ships in both directions, compared to the crossing of 2,171 ships in November 2022. The total net tonnage reached 135.5 million tons, an increase of 8.2 percent year on year.
He stressed that the successive unprecedented indicators recorded by the canal's navigation statistics are a direct result of the success of development projects and navigational services and the support of the political leadership in raising the canal's classification and increasing its capacity.
