Firefighters rescue five puppies stranded for two days by flood in India
Firefighters rescued five puppies stranded for two days by a flood in India.
The incident happened in Palavayal area of Tiruvallur district in South India.
Around 15cm of rain fell there in two hours during the North East Monsoon season.
Due to the resulting flood, locals fled to safer places, but some stray dog cubs got trapped, unable to leave or get food.
Their mother was said to have gone for food but did not return to the area.
After it was told about the puppies' plight, firefighters rushed to the spot in a rubber boat, bringing the fortunate furries to dry land at last.
