STORYLINE:
China's pavilion at COP28, the United Nations climate change conference, was officially inaugurated Thursday morning in Dubai, the United Arab Emirates.
On the occasion, Xie Zhenhua, China's special envoy for climate change reiterated China's strategic determination of climate action.

"As a responsible major developing country, China has always adhered to the strategic determination of climate action. China's economic and social development has embarked on a comprehensive green transformation track. In the future, China will continue to take pragmatic actions to make greater contributions to coping with the global climate crisis, achieving sustainable development and building a clean and beautiful world through South-South and North-South cooperation initiatives."
A side event was also held at the pavilion to introduce actions and progress in reducing pollution and carbon emissions in Beijing.
The China pavilion plans to host over 100 events on the sidelines of COP28.
