STORYLINE:

A fragile humanitarian truce between Israel and Hamas collapsed on Friday, with the conflicting parties accusing each other of violating the ceasefire deal.

"After seven days of humanitarian truce between Hamas and Israel, which led to freeing 86 Israeli hostages held by Hamas, and 240 Palestinian detainees from Israeli military jails, all are women and children, the truce has officially ended today the first of December at 7 am Jerusalem time. Israel has already started bombing Gaza. Meanwhile, the death toll in Gaza since the end of pause exceeds 100 Palestinians.
The Israeli military spokesman said that they are targeting many locations belonging to Hamas all across the strip.
Hamas renewed launching rockets as sirens went off in southern Israel, in addition to heavy gunfire clashes erupted in many locations between their fighters and the Israeli troops in north Gaza.
The UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres said in a statement that he deeply regrets the resumption of fighting in Gaza. 'The return to hostilities only shows how important it is to have a true humanitarian ceasefire,' he added."

The Hamas-run health ministry said that the Israeli attacks since Friday morning in Gaza have resulted in 178 deaths and 589 injuries.

The overall death toll in Gaza since the beginning of the conflict on Oct. 7 has reached more than 15,000, while in Israel more than 1,200 have been killed.
