STORYLINE:

As the China International Supply Chain Expo (CISCE) got underway in Beijing, participants from various countries expressed optimism about China's green transition, and voiced hope for leveraging the extensive opportunities the country has to offer.

The expo, the first of its kind at the national level, has attracted exhibitors from over 50 countries and regions.

SOUNDBITE 1 (Chinese): XIE CHAO, General Manager of HSM China Ltd.
"HSM China Ltd. is a wholly-owned subsidiary of the German company HSM. We mainly produce and sell equipment for shredding paper and compressing materials. Through the exhibition area of Sino-German industrial park here, we have showcased an interesting product called cardboard perforator, which can process discarded corrugated boxes into fluffy paper meshes and use them as filling materials to replace traditional plastic filling materials."

SOUNDBITE 2 (Chinese): GUAN HUILI, President of Cargill China
"Cargill is showcasing two unique and complete agricultural supply chains of corn and soybeans.
It is our first time to participate in the CISCE, which is a very good platform for us to have more exchanges with industry associations and partners. We hope that we can have more communication with governments, institutions, industries, customers and partners through the platform of CISCE, and tap into a variety of business opportunities. We hope that through this expo, the development of a sustainable green supply chain will be facilitated. This would be very beneficial for the advancement of our entire industry."
