The length of hair of a woman from Prayagraj, UP, which is the longest in the world, is 7 feet 9 inches, has been included in the Guinness World Records.
A 46-year-old woman from Uttar Pradesh, who has been growing her hair since she was 14, has bagged the Guinness World Record for the world’s longest hair on a living person.
Smita Srivastava’s hair measures an astonishing 236.22 cm (7 feet 9 inches). She was inspired by her mother and credits her genes for the “healthy growth” of her long locks.
She usually washed her hair twice per week and the entire process, including washing, drying, detangling and styling, takes up to three hours each time.
Festive offer
Once her hair is detangled and fully dried, she combs it and braids it, tying it into a bun. She has never thrown away her hair for the past 20 years, she told GWR. She began collecting her fallen-out hairs when she suddenly began to experience a “major” hair loss.
