"This is the Nansha District of Guangzhou, China. An international gathering is unfolding here. And Nansha is attracting much attention."

The 5th World Media Summit is held from Dec. 2 to 8 in China's Guangzhou and Kunming. Over 450 attendees from 101 countries and regions will participate in the event this year, including representatives from nearly 200 mainstream media outlets, think tanks and government agencies, as well as international organizations.

"A main venue of the summit is located in the Nansha District. So what's special about Nansha and why such an important international event is held here? Let's find out!"

Up to now, 11 innovation bases for young people from Hong Kong and Macao have been set up in Nansha.

More than 500 youth innovation teams (projects) from Hong Kong and Macao have been introduced here.

New sci-tech infrastructure supports Nansha in building new strategic industrial clusters.

Over the past year, 299 new projects were signed, with 76% of them related to strategic emerging industries.

Nansha Port, a major part of Guangzhou Port, has opened more than 150 international liner routes, with access to over 300 ports in more than 100 countries and regions around the world.

Located at the center of the Greater Bay Area (GBA) in China, Nansha District not only serves as an important window for the international community to observe China's reform and opening-up, but also demonstrates the endless opportunities that the GBA shares with countries worldwide.
