Indonesia: Mount Marapi Spews Kilometers-High Column Of Ash In Recent Eruption
Mount Marapi erupted on Sunday, December 3, sending a kilometers-high column of ash towering over West Sumatra.
The eruption occured at 2:54pm local time and caused an ash rain in surrounding towns.
Climbers who started their climb on Saturday were stranded. Some were evacuated but others were still waiting rescue.
