As Christmas is approaching, London has already been gearing up for the festive season with streets and squares adorned with Christmas decorations.
To raise public awareness of climate change, some of London's landmark shopping destinations recycled last year's displays.
To save energy, the lights will shine for a slightly shorter duration each day this year.
According to the local council, the lights use LED lightbulbs made from recycled polymer.
That will save 75 percent of energy than standard lightbulbs.
Christmas lights across the city tend to glisten until January 6.
During the festive season, various Christmas-themed activities will be held across London, including Christmas markets, workshops, concerts, and the world-famous Winter Wonderland in Hyde Park.
