STORYLINE:
Shen Guangrong, a visually impaired engineer in Shenzhen, south China's Guangdong Province, has been dedicated to providing barrier-free services for visually impaired people.

"I have been interested in computers since I was a child. I think the programs in the computer are amazing, and it can do all kinds of things by itself. But I also found that there are many programs that are not compatible with the screen readers used by the visually impaired people. I wanted to learn what is programming, and how it works. Then, I gradually started learning programming."
Shen has designed a game called "Burst City" for the visually impaired.

"Programming is very rewarding, because you can create products for people. And when people use your products, they will give you feedback. I think when you get the feedback, you will feel a sense of achievements."
This year, Shen also held an e-sports competition.
Facilities and services for the visually impaired have been improved across China over the past years.

"The visually impaired people can play games and participate in e-sports competitions. We recruit visually impaired engineers, hoping they can use their skills to promote the accessibility of our products.
