Black Robin Farm to be put forward as a new £10 million visiotr centre for the South downs National Park, East Sussex, UK.
A planning application to be submitted for the Black Robin Farm project to change the working farm into a visiotr centre receiving up to 100,000 visitors a year
It is beleived that Eastbourne Borough Council has earmarked £10 million of it's Levelling Up funding for the centre on a 1,000-acre site at the former dairy farm near Beachy Head.
The South Downs National Park Authority (SDNPA) has decided the plan does not need an Environmental Statement for the site in a secluded valley, which is is likely to increase the amount of traffic and pollution to the vistor centre in the National Park once completed.
The currrent National TRust visitor centre at Birling Gap is being partially demolished as it sits on a cliff edge that has been eroded by the sea making ti unsafe. The Bitling Gap site is the sxecond most popular NT venue in the UK after Winston Churchill's forme family home at Chaertwell in kent.
