The initial idea behind the Christmas Tree made out of crab pots was to serve as a temporary solution during the pandemic. However, it has transformed into a beloved holiday focal point in Wells-next-the-Sea on Norfolk's north coast, England.

Now in its fourth consecutive year, this distinctive tree, crafted from crab fishing pots and other contributions from local fishermen, has become a cherished attraction for the villagers.

The imaginative concept of the crab pot tree was put forward by the harbor master, Robert Smith.

Rising to a height of 15 feet, the tree is adorned with approximately 180 crab pots, complemented by buoys displaying the names of local boats. Lit up by festive Christmas lights, this whimsical creation beautifully captures the essence of the seaside town and its deep-rooted history intertwined with fishing traditions.
