A green snake slithered across coach windows while it was parked up waiting for passengers to return from lunch.

The small serpent emerged inside the vehicle while it was stopped alongside a forest in Saraburi province on May 30.

The creature later returned on its own into the wilderness.

Driver Sai said: 'I was relieved there were no passengers at the time. It would have scared the life out of them.

'I see all kinds of strange animals on the road so I could stay calm and wait for the snake to leave.'

The reptile seen in the video is a golden tree snake. They are a mildly venomous, rear-fanged colubrid snake native to Southeast Asia.

They are known for their incredible ability to glide from tree to tree, flattening their bodies and ribs to create a parachute effect.
