The second edition of African Startup Conference kicked off in the Algerian capital Algiers on Tuesday. Algerian Prime Minister Nadir Larbaoui attended the opening ceremony.
This year's conference, under the theme "Innovation for the development of the African continent", has attracted about 250 officials and experts from African countries and about 200 startups in energy, FinTech, big data, health, cybersecurity, and education.
The conference aims to raise the profile of African startups, exchange experiences and sign cooperation agreements in this field.
The conference will also hold trade fairs, AI competitions, workshops, and other activities.
