Wednesday 6 December 2023 - The flash flood disaster hit Pariangan village, Tanah Datar Regency, West Sumatra, Indonesia, since Tuesday 5 December 2023 evening.
Pariangan Village is the most beautiful village in the world in West Sumatra, Indonesia. This disaster occurred for the first time in the history of this village. This disaster caused serious damage to buildings near the Tuo Pariangan Mosque.
There were no casualties as a result of this disaster. After the flood waters receded, the community in Pariangan village carried out mutual cooperation activities to clean up the remaining material carried away by the flash flood.
The community admitted that they were worried about the disaster, because currently the eruption of Mount Marapi Volcano is still ongoing. Because the river water comes from Mount Marapi.
