Residents, battered by a severe storm, found relaxation in footbaths within flooded streets after nearby hot springs mixed with rainwater poured onto the roads in Zhengzhou, in China's central Henan Province, on November 25.

Footage shows steam rising from the road as both men and women, and even children with their trousers rolled up, soak their feet in little buckets. Other locals take the opportunity to save on electricity and do their laundry in the hot floodwaters.

The water that pooled in the streets came from nearby hot springs and was as warm as 40 degrees Celsius.

Onlooker Ms. Zhou said, 'The hot springs were only discovered recently when construction workers drilled the ground near the city.'
