STORYLINE:

Hikvision Adriatic, a regional branch of China's Hikvision company, the world's largest supplier of video surveillance products, opened its first office in Zagreb on Wednesday.

"It is a big step for our Adriatic team from Hikvision because it means that we have a second branch office in the Adriatic region and this means that we will have more resources to develop the Croatian market and also the regional market."

In 2009, Hikvision established its headquarters in Europe and started to do business in Croatia. 

Hikvision is recognized as the world's leading manufacturer of security cameras. Recently, the company has started producing other things as well.

"In the last few years, we did a breakthrough in some of the non-security product lines such as commercial deals, interactive screens and similar stuff. For instance, just recently because of this office we were able to win a very high-level project for education system in Croatia with our interactive screens. We sold more than 2,500 pieces together with our partners. It was a public tender funded by the European Union."
