Video timelapse catches four shooting stars in night sky the Philippines
A timelapse video captured four shooting stars illuminating the night sky in the Philippines.
Footage taken by resident Frederick Magno shows the four meteors whizzing above the clouds over Urdaneta City, Pangasinan, on November 8.
Frederick filmed the video during cloudy conditions, but the stars unexpectedly appeared, prompting him to continue capturing the sky for two hours from the rooftop of his house.
He said: 'I didn't expect to capture shooting stars because my purpose in taking videos was to capture the movement of stars. Whenever I see stars, I feel relaxed, and I always find a good spot to take a picture or video of the stars.'
The best time to observe shooting stars is during the darkest hours of the night when the sky is clear and there is minimal light pollution. Meteor showers often peak during specific times of the year.
