STORYLINE:

As a frisbee enthusiast, Chinese girl Wang Ruixue uses the small equipment to build a friendship with youths in Cote d'Ivoire.

"I graduated from Shanghai International Studies University with a master's degree. My major is French interpretation.
I came to Cote d'Ivoire in September last year.
At first, I played frisbee in Zhongshan Park in Shanghai (when I was in China).
I think frisbee is a very magical competitive sport.
One day, I brought my frisbee to the university (in Cote d'Ivoire), and I played it with some kids.
I met Abu when I was leaving school. Abu was a member of local frisbee club Ultimate Frisbee Cote d'Ivoire. We communicated and decided to develop the sport here again.
Every time we play frisbee, a lot of people come over and we introduce the sport to them. Now there are a dozen of people playing together, and sometimes it can reach a scale of 20 people.
Several team members had learned a little Chinese before, and since playing frisbee with me, their interest in Chinese and China have increased.
Now they go to the Confucius Institute to take Chinese classes very regularly. Their spoken Chinese has improved a lot, starting from simple expressions like 'hello' and 'how are you' to sentences such as 'I like to eat something,' 'I love frisbee' and 'I love Cote d'Ivoire.' Their Chinese is getting better and better now.
Because we are all young people and frisbee is a social sport, sometimes during breaks, they would introduce me to some very popular dances, music, and food in Cote d'Ivoire, and I would also introduce them to some of my favorite songs and Chinese food. After the game, we will go to eat some local food too."

"She is a very nice person. She is good at social communication. She loves her teammates and she loves team sport. She was the one who brought us together and got us involved in the sport of frisbee."

"We hope to attract more young Africans to join frisbee and turn our club into a national alliance.
China has done a lot for Cote d'Ivoire in the field of sport. The Chinese martial arts are also famous. I hope that China and Cote d'Ivoire can work together to create a better future for African youth."
