A cheeky feline named An’an was captured in a stealthy attempt to sneak a taste of a sumptuous cake in southern China.

The hilarious video was filmed in Guangzhou City in Guangdong Province on November 20.

Despite the owner's vigilant eye, An’an, with a look of innocent determination, edged ever closer to the cake. The owner, struggling to maintain a stern demeanour, lovingly caressed the cat’s head, trying to deter its advances.

However, An’an, adorned with a dollop of cream on its eyebrows – a badge of its cake crusade – was undeterred.

The owner's gentle warning, "This isn't for you to eat," fell on deaf ears as the cat continued its relentless pursuit.

The owner caressed the cat's head with difficulties but the determined feline persistently inched closer to the cake with cream on its eyebrows.
