Cyclone Michaung began to weaken after making landfall Tuesday in eastern India, although it is still accompanied by heavy rains and winds of up to 85 kilometers per hour that have left thirteen dead and thousands evacuated, in addition to severe flooding. "Landfall has been completed," the India Meteorological Department (IMD) reported, warning that the storm had lost intensity and was no longer a "severe" category.
