This is the gruesome moment a python was caught on camera killing a resident's pet goose.

CCTV footage shows the predator pouncing on the fowl named Toong Tong while it was alone in Chon Limmorakot's yard in Bangkok, Thailand, on June 13.

Chon said: 'I was away in Saraburi province for three weeks and the goose was fine when I returned. I can't believe it' was killed while I was here. My cat has also been missing for a week now.'

The reticulated python is found throughout Southeast Asia, where they live in forests, swamps, canals and even in cities, causing them to come into conflict with humans. The species is one of the world's largest snakes and can eat humans, cats, dogs, birds, rats and other snakes.
