Due to heavy rains in Mudichur Amutham Nagar Varadarajapuram areas next to Chennai Tambaram, cars have been lined up on the Vandalur-Meenjoor Bypass Road to prevent cars from getting caught in the rain water.

Cars that were parked as a precaution due to the heavy rains were washed away and cars that were swept away by the rain water got stuck in ditches and trees here and there.

Car owners are searching and rescuing cars that have been washed away by rainwater even at night.

The heavy rainfall due to Cyclone Michaung has led to severe flooding in Chennai. Several localities in the city have been inundated and there has been extensive damage to property. Numerous videos of cars being washed away in Chennai floods are also doing the rounds on social media.
