Operation to search for victims of the eruption of Mount Marapi, West Sumatra. Officially closed after the discovery of the last victim named Siksa, from south Solok this afternoon.

The closure occurred after the Sar Team succeeded in finding and immediately evacuating the last victim, the 23 dead people in the world, who were rushed directly to Ahmad Muctar Hospital for identification.

The recorded victims who were trapped on the first day on Mount Marapi during the eruption were 75 people. 23 of them died and have been identified by the West Sumatra Police AVI team.

Despite the operation to search for victims of the Mount Marapi eruption, the police are still opening complaints for families who still lost their families while at the top of Mount Marapi at Ahmad Mucthar Hospital.

The Deputy Head of the West Sumatra Regional Police, as the leader of the Operation Search for Mount Marapi Eruption Victims, said, "Because the target of 75 people from people's reports has now been met.

"If the identification results do not match, we will search again to the top of Mount Marapi. Currently, according to online data, 75 people have been completed, the last evacuation was in the name of Siska," he said.

The number of climbers identified online was 75 people. 22 people were declared dead, 53 people survived, while currently the post for reporting missing is still open at the hospital.

"All the victims have complications, we have closed the search operation, we would like to thank all elements and those who have helped in the process of searching and evacuating victims," he explained.
