In recent days, the IDF has intensified its operations against Hamas infrastructure embedded within civilian areas in Shejaiya. The 36th Division engaged in close-quarter combat, uncovering and dismantling weapons and underground facilities primarily located within or near civilian buildings. The ongoing efforts aim to neutralize Hamas' capabilities in the region.

Ground battles in the Gaza Strip conducted by the Golani Brigade resulted in the elimination of dozens of Hamas members. The forces discovered tunnel shafts and rocket launchers, with the Kfir Brigade locating RPG launchers and ammunition within a civilian residential building. Additionally, a Hamas tunnel shaft was found inside a school.

The 188th Brigade, in collaboration with the Yahalom Unit, successfully destroyed seven tunnel shafts, eliminated numerous Hamas members, and seized a significant amount of ammunition, explosives, and weapons. Notably, a tunnel shaft was discovered within a school, leading to close-quarters engagements with Hamas members until they were neutralized. The IDF remains committed to addressing security threats while navigating complex urban environments.
