Forgotten Friend Reptile Sanctuary is a nonprofit reptile rescue and education organization based in Pennsylvania, USA. Normally people give us their unwanted pet turtles and tortoises because they get too large or live 100 years or longer. Recently we took in close to 2,000 turtles in one day!

Nadine Sheldon, affectionately known as "the Turtle Lady", collected every turtle she could find for most of her life. When she passed away, her family donated her entire collection of artificial turtles to our reptile rescue. Their hope was for us to use the turtles as a fundraiser, or to give them to other people who love turtles as much as we do.
