A diner suffered scalp injuries as multiple mice unexpectedly fell on him at a restaurant inside a mall in eastern China.

The shocking CCTV footage was filmed in the city of Yiwu in Zhejiang Province on December 8. Several mice suddenly fell from the ceiling and landed on a man who was dining in a restaurant named Xu Fu Niu.

The victims reported that the rodents caused injuries, tearing through his scalp upon impact. Despite requesting medical attention, the establishment and the mall allegedly evaded responsibility, pushing the customers to seek examinations on their own.

On the morning of December 9, a spokesperson from the mall responded, stating that the implicated store and the affected customers are in communication for resolution.

Local authorities acknowledged receiving complaints, with officials from the Market Supervision and Management Bureau set to visit the eatery for an investigation. Progress will be disclosed to the public as developments unfold.
