"I come here for work at 9 a.m. every day and usually go back home to Vietnam at 6 p.m. It takes about 15 minutes from the customs in China to my home."

Dongxing is located on the China-Vietnam border and just across from the Vietnamese city of Mong Cai, Vo Th Thanh Tam's hometown.

By December 3, the border port in Dongxing saw more than 4.4 million cross-border travels between China and Vietnam this year.

Nguyen Th Bang is also a Mong Cai native who works in Dongxing.

She was Vo Th Thanh Tam's colleague.

After discovering a business opportunity in Dongxing, she now has her own shop.
