Infant Miraculously rescued from 20 feet borewell after 12 hours massive rescue mission

An infant who got stuck in an abandoned borewell in Odisha's Sambalpur was rescued on Tuesday.

The newborn was found stuck in an open borewell at Laripali in the Rengali area of Sambalpur.

As soon as the incident came to light, a rescue operation was launched to save the infant. Fire services personnel and excavator machines soon reached the spot and started digging alongside the borewell to reach the infant. While the rescue operation was being carried out, the infant's cries could be heard coming from inside the borewell.

The infant was rescued, with video from the spot showing officials carrying out the newborn.

Special optical fibre and camera were deployed to the spot by plane for use in the rescue work.
