Jetski close encounter with two Whales, Moreton Island, Brisbane Australia.
Whilst fishing off the Northern end of Moreton Island in Brisbane Australia I was approached by two inquisitive whales. No motor running they gently pulled up parallel to my ski and to my surprised turned and i could have almost reach out and touched one of them. According to my depth sounder I was in 8 meters of water. After a recent incident in Sydney where a whale unexpectedly breached the water and sank a boat, I was quite nervous about the situation but decided to sit still no engine and hoped they would pass by. To my relief, that was the case this time. :}
