STORYLINE:
The Israeli army on Wednesday continued its intense airstrikes and ground attacks on the Gaza Strip despite that the UN General Assembly adopted a resolution demanding an "immediate humanitarian ceasefire" in Gaza a day earlier.
According to Palestinian medical sources, the bodies of more than 40 Palestinians who were killed in Israeli airstrikes, including 10 children, were transferred to Nasser Hospital in Khan Younis on Wednesday; around 20 people died in Israeli airstrikes on central Gaza, while another 15 were killed, and dozens wounded in Israeli attacks on the northern Gaza Strip.
In Maghazi refugee camp in central Gaza, people condemned Israel's several airstrikes here.
SOUNDBITE 1 (Arabic): MAHMOUD ZAKROT, Gaza resident
"We were surprised when they bombed this house, in which about 90 people lived, including about 70 displaced people who came from the northern Gaza Strip, and the rest were the house owners and their families.
There is no safe area in Gaza. Israeli radio tells us to go to safe areas in the southern Gaza Strip. They bombed this house, which contained safe residents who hadn't someone wanted by security forces or important person to target. However, they destroyed the entire building over the heads of its residents."
SOUNDBITE 2 (Arabic): MAHER NIZAR, Gaza resident
"We heard the sound of bombing, and then we were surprised by the extent of the destruction and devastation and the number of the dead and their body parts.
They completely destroyed this area, which included about 10 houses."
SOUNDBITE 3 (Arabic): GALAL NIZAR, Gaza resident
"The world doesn't want to hear us. Our voice does not reach anyone, no matter how much we talk about our destroyed homes. There is no humanity here. This world has forgotten us.
We have nowhere else to go. They destroyed us. There is no future for me or my children anymore."
Gaza has been under massive Israeli siege and bombardment since Oct. 7, which has killed so far over 18,600 Palestinians and wounded 50,594 others, Gaza's Health Ministry stated on Wednesday.
