A Russian fleet of drones and missiles were launched at the city of Odesa in Ukraine last night (December 13th).

At about 19:30 local time, Defense Forces of southern Ukraine noted the movement of Russian Shahed attack drones from the Black Sea in the direction of the Odessa region. At approximately 20:00 it became known that the Shahed group was heading towards Odessa.

Air raid warnings were issued for local residents but two workers were injured in Odesa, and another 10 adults and children were injured across southern Ukraine.

Loud explosions were heard in different areas of Odessa; apparently, intensive combat work was going on by air defense fighters.

Later they reported that the direction of movement was Belgorod-Dniester region. Already at approximately 20:00 it became known that the Shahed group was heading towards Odessa.
The head of the Odessa OVA Oleg Kiper asked the population to stay in shelters.
“Odessa region, please be in shelters until the air raid warning clears! As a result of the attack, two workers of a municipal auto repair company in Odessa were injured. They were hospitalized with injuries of varying severity. The premises of the auto repair shop were significantly damaged, where three cars were destroyed and 11 cars were damaged. In addition, due to the Russian strike, the port infrastructure building in the Odessa region was damaged.The Russians launched a massive attack on southern Ukraine, injuring more than 10 adults and children.

According to the press service of the Southern Defense Forces, for more than 6 hours in a row, from the evening until late at night, the enemy terrorized the southern regions with several waves of drone attacks and simultaneously launched a missile strike.

In particular, 39 UAVs of the "Shahed-136/131" type were launched from the temporarily occupied Crimea against civilian infrastructure. The air defense forces accurately worked on all attack drones: two were destroyed in the Kherson region, five in the Nikolaev region and 32 in the Odessa region.

“In the Odessa region, the enemy directed his attacks both on Odessa itself and on the south of the region - the Danube region. In Odessa, more than a dozen buildings, mostly residential, were damaged by the debris of downed kamikaze drones, private cars were on fire. It is preliminary known that 11 civilians were wounded, including 3 children. Rescuers quickly put out the fires and set up a heating center," the military said.
