Chinese woman tricks facial recognition with hand-cover mimicry of face mask
A woman tricked a facial recognition with hand-cover mimicry of face mask in central China.
The video was filmed in Jingzhou City in Hubei Province on December 14.
A woman faced an unexpected twist at a residential complex's facial recognition entrance. Despite her facial features failing the recognition, she discovered an unconventional solution – covering her face with her hands. This peculiar workaround allowed her to bypass the security measures.
The individual, Ms Yang, explained, "I initially registered during the mask-wearing period amid the pandemic. After removing the mask, the system failed to recognise me. Surprisingly, covering my mouth worked, and I found it amusing, so I never bothered to update it."
The video was provided by local media with permission.
