China has taken action to cope with a cold wave to ensure the normal life of residents.

Multiple parts of the country have seen heavy rain and snow, which have had a relatively large impact on power supply, transport, production and people's livelihoods.

Strengthened efforts have been made to inspect the conditions of roads and power infrastructure, and to ensure the safe and smooth operations of transport networks and power grids.

Local authorities have stepped up efforts to safeguard crops and secure the supply of agricultural products.
