Chinese diner discovers rusted knife floating in hotpot
A diner discovered a rusted knife floating in her hotpot in eastern China.
The shocking video was filmed in the city of Changzhou in Jiangsu Province on December 16.
Local authorities swiftly responded to the incident. On December 18, the Municipal Market Supervision and Administration Bureau issued a statement, confirming that they had dispatched personnel to investigate and address the matter.
The hot pot establishment in question promptly explained, attributing the presence of the knife to an accidental mishap during the placement of vacuum-sealed base ingredients.
The management of the implicated hot pot restaurant expressed regret over the incident and issued a formal apology to the concerned customer. Additionally, they announced that the affected party would not be charged for their meal.
The restaurant management claimed to have implemented corrective measures to prevent a recurrence of such incidents in the future.
