A fearless reptile specialist caught a deadly cobra using just her bare hands.

Ratha Tapianthong rushed to a house in Ang Thong, Thailand, where terrified local Aunty Nee, 55, found the sinister beast lurking inside her house on December 10.

Footage shows Ratha wrangling the cobra, which had hidden under a dog cage and tried to slither to a corner of the resident's laundry room.

The snake was seen flaring its hood and hissing angrily as Ratha patiently gauged its movement.

The brave volunteer then dragged the cobra by the tail outside the house and sealed it inside a sack to be released into nature.

Aunty Nee, a vendor at a local market, said: 'I saw the cobra while I was going out of the bathroom in my house. I was afraid it would slither elsewhere, so I called the rescue team for help.'

Cobras are highly venomous snakes characterised by their distinctive hood, which expands when threatened to appear more intimidating. They can inject potent neurotoxic venom that can cause paralysis and, in some cases, be lethal to humans.
