This video shows the moment a father's super-fast reflexes save a toddler from falling off the couch and getting injured.

In the recording, the father can be seen sitting on the table next to the sofa, when the baby girl lost her balance while playing. She then suddenly plunged down head-first from the piece of furniture.

However, the quick-thinking father leaped up to catch the one-year-old girl just seconds before she could hit the ground at their home in the city of Dalian, in the southern part of Liaoning province, China, on Thursday, December 14.

The girl's terrified mum later told media that her husband had just returned home from work before the accident. She added that she had never expected it to happen.
