Shocked residents discovered a massive shark carcass on the seaside in Southern Leyte, the Philippines, on November 11.

Footage shows worried locals shining lights on the shark and gathering around the large, lifeless, bloated sea creature.

Onlooker Tan Zon who captured the video said: 'We wondered why it happened since the weather was nice, but little did we know it was just a sign before the big earthquake hit.'

Authorities collected the shark carcasses and buried it the next day.
