A resident in Xiamen, China's Fujian Province, stumbled across a glowing ant nest that resembled an aerial view of the city.

Mr Liu was taking his baby for a walk in a park on December 15 when he discovered the bizarre scene he described as magical.

The day after his discovery, Liu returned he found that there weren't any lighting facilities in the area and was left confused as to what illuminated the nest.
